“Day” Job: Which one?!
Favorite mtn(s):
East: Jay
West: Whistler, BC
World: Rhinerhorn in Davos Switzerland… Davos is the only place I have been across the pond.
Skiing inspirations: Glen Plake - Ever since he did the cross-up in the bumps in Blizzard of Ahhs... He is the original bumpcrusher long-boarder. People still give me shit about the size of my boards... you just cant substitute much for length boys. In most of the legacy "OPK" shots I'm riding 204 Morrisons...
John Egan - Ever since I met John Egan while hanging out to meet Plake. I was an intern for the Boston Phoenix "Radio Anarchy Ski Team" and met them both at the Boston Ski Show. John is a down-to-earth great guy that has made a cool living as a Skier and general mountain man.
Favorite Ski: Old School: K2 Merlin V - got any? New'errr:: Volkl Mantra
Favorite Trick: High speed Iron Cross with a stall or grab
Best on mtn moment: [continued...] Years later I connected with John Egan when prepping for my first successful competition, John Egan's First Annual Castle Rock Extreme Challenge. I met up with John and took a few speed-check runs on Castle Rock at Sugarbush to get a handle on what should be a good time on the course. After a few runs, he decided 2 minutes was about right.

Being it my first competition, I was a "little" amped and got there at 5:30 in the morning and was the first signup, and therefore the first to go. The conditions were blue-ice with 5 inches fresh and nuking snow with almost zero visibility.

I smoked the course in 1:50, over 10 seconds faster than the second place in speed and was the only competitor to hit the "widow maker" rock aside from the forerunner. Took 1st in speed and 3rd overall. The next year they took speed out of the equation... OK so I was a little on the edge... There is video of the event on LodgeTheory.
Why JayPeakVideo.com?

350 inches! There is no substitute for powder... because really, it is truly all about the snow - not to mention the folks out West need a reality check.
